It is a Hindu festival. People of India celebrate it with great pomp and show. It is also called the festival of colours. Everyone celebrates it with joy and enthusiasm. The festival of colours is celebrated everywhere, but Hindus have a different belief in it. There are many old stories and legends associated with it. It is a very old festival celebrated with colours. It is celebrated with Holika Dahan. The night before, symbolising good over evil, followed by the main Rangwali, where people playfully throw gulal and water, sing, dance, and share sweets like gujiya and drinks like thandai, nurturing unity and forgiveness after cleaning up and visiting family.
